I originally intended to wear a wash and go, but did not have my regular gel. The Fantasia IC Aloe Gel I used did not have the hold of the original version or the stronger hold and elongation power of Eco Styler (Olive Oil).

Using a (clean) pantyhose leg is the best thing for getting my hair in a ponytail. This is a great alternative for people whose hair is shorter in the front (like me).

I'm gettin' some hang time y'all! LOL

My Crown-Minty: Throwback Braid Out

This picture was taken at the Fall 2011 World Natural Hair Show. My friends and I made the trip down to Atlanta, and had a blast. We stayed with our friend Shaanaya, and she did my first braid out for me. I loved it!

I look at this picture and I'm amazed at how much my hair has grown. That's why it is SO important to document your natural hair journey. Past pictures provide encouragement to press on toward your goals.

Tammy did this cute cornrow updo for me and I love it! She LITERALLY came to the rescue. (You'll find out why in tomorrow's video.) The bangs add versatility to the hairstyle because you can wear them twisted, in a twist out, or tucked back in a pompadour.
